A washboard is what people used to use to wash their clothes. Its this rigity thing that was supposed to scrub dirt out of wet clothes.

So, If Lexaeus has "washboard" abs, and he's standing out in the rain, he can wash his clothes..... That last panel really doesn't illustrate the joke too well, sorry >_>;
